Holos is a boutique Los Angeles area-based law firm focused on guiding its clients through the complex and nuanced legal and regulatory issues faced by investment funds, investment advisers, and broker-dealers. Whether it be securities regulations or general business law, Holos seeks to provide cost-effective solutions tailored to each client. Lacking bureaucracy and unnecessary overhead, Holos’s two principals work on each aspect of a client’s engagement. Holos also enjoys helping investment advisers discuss new business ventures, including launching private funds.

Jon Wieman, CFA

Partner

Outgoing and driven leader that seeks opportunities to match my interest and knowledge of the capital markets and financial services industries with my legal skill-sets that include negotiating, drafting, and regulatory compliance. I have spent over 25 years counseling the investment industry on legal and compliance issues, including working at the U.S Securities & Exchange Commission and with mutual fund company boards to ensure compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940.

My life outside of work revolves mainly around coaching or watching my two sons in various sports as well as training for my own athletic competitions. I am a former US National record holding swimmer and a three-time Ironman triathlete.

Marc Pugsley

Executive management leadership skills coupled with creativity and the ability to delve into details. Develops and executes clear policies and procedures to enhance operations and automate processes. Enjoy working on cross-functional business projects and maintaining a holistic approach to problem solving.

My prior professional experience includes significant experience in the investment management industry, specifically with real estate funds, private equity/ infrastructure funds, and hedge funds. Financial product knowledge includes real estate, public and private company debt and equity, bank debt, investments in partnerships and REITS, options, warrants, swaps, CDS and other derivatives.
